The zine launch was held during the Quezon City government's promotional campaign for Maginhawa street as a spot that is good for business investments. The group came uninvited and set-up shop with a "portable" magazine rack full of Pakbet editions. The theme of the work stood so conveniently appropriate within the context of this eat-all-you-can-pay spectacle as that usually skipped-over vegetable dish on a meaty buffet table. In this sense, it is funny to think of the effort, talking on an accidentally metaphorical sense, as serving up a dish that would help people flush out toxins and cholesterol after a day of binging.
An edition of Pakbet zine is available for download at Pillbox Press Library.
