[PRACTICE-MISSION]

The company is dedicated to the research, development and implementation of artistic methodologies and strategies especially in the fields of production, logistics and organizing. Ones that are well-suited for artist initiated, non-market-oriented, public art projects. WALA is not satisfied on just leaving an aesthetic impression-experience to a selected participating audience-victims.  Nor does it want to simply carve a sort of niche of arts appreciation to the imagination of the general public. Beyond that, it desires to create[or curate] situations that would bring diverse communities and/or set of networks together. WALA is committed in making sure that each of its projects serve as platforms suitable for cultivating and sustaining discourse and collaborations between the company, its clients and its business partners.

[VISION-PREDILECTION]

*growth and development not based on profit

*broadening rhizomatic network horizons not building or   adding up to existing hierarchical structures

*art as labor for the people not service for the privileged few

*the prospect of genuine art economic autonomy from the

(speculative financial) market

[WORKFORCE]

[CAPITAL/as in PUHUNAN]

 Windang Aesthetic Labor Army

is an art(s) industry based manufacturer and service providing pseudo-company committed to the production of ultra-OK, top-of-the-line artistic goods, activities and events. It is an entity-unit that is independent enough to form a discernible identity operated by a mind of its own. Its practice takes the shape of a flickering, indeterminate blur between being an artist, a curator, an institution, a brand name, a network and an artwork.

It is a company that has sharing of various available resources among its human components as its chief source of capital. These resources may be in the form of labor, specialization skills, ideas, supplies, equipment, venue or a part of an employee's income from a (possibly precarious) second, day job. It also participates in joint mutual support investments with business partners on some of its project endeavors.

The company's workforce consists of a manpower-army of anonymous human volunteers. Each and every one of its hired employees are also its manager, supervisor, CEO, lawyer, maintenance personnel and security guard all at the same time. Job vacancies are always available. Applicants can choose to apply for full-time, part-time (per project), open-time or any time they want. So that, I am WALA. You can be WALA. We are all WALA. This is WALA.

[WALA'S OFFICE]

Any company's office is of course its base of operation – a site where its (or a node of its) nervous system (is usually) located. WALA's offices are also WALA itself and its human component-employees are its modular-cellular units. It doesn't have a definite architectural structure. Sometimes, it can be found on a fixed location, but most of time it is nomadic. It cannot sustain itself without being organic.  Like fungi it pops out and sets itself up into existence where the action is at. It is not something that people have to get stuck in traffic going to. It could swell and it could shrink. It can also divide itself into parts and operate simultaneously on different locations then fuse back together again like a creepy sentient alien blob.
