Windang Aesthetics Labor Army (WALA) is a pseudo-company and sometimes, a research-party-study-orgy group.

 

Aside from consuming hefty amounts of coffee, tobacco, and a particular type of vegetable, together, we fantasize (and rationalize) about the possibility of having a collaborative and progressive art practice that reaches out to a wider public. A practice that would create an entity independent of its members that is not pressured by the influence of dominant markets and their accompanying institutions and/or dominant institutions and their accompanying markets. This is all the while being (feeling) absolutely 100% valid at the same time.

As a company, we are committed to the production of super OK, hi-quality and top of the line art objects, events, activities and interventions. We aim to do this by exploring and executing alternative methodologies and strategies in production and service that is well-suited to engage and spawn discourses with the chaos that is the current Filipino experience.
